History
The Naracoorte Hotel dates back to 1847 when the first storey of the main building was constructed. Later, in the early 1900s, a second storey was added. The property then remained mostly unchanged until the late 1900s when the Billy Mac Restaurant extension and the Limestone Coast Cellars were added.
Whether a history buff or not, clients are often delighted by the historic photographs on display throughout the Hotel complex. In addition, many historic artifacts worthy of a museum are suspended from the ceilings and walls, particularly in the Billy Mac's Restaurant.
The Naracoorte Hotel Motel, in current day, has a definate historic feel to it, with vintage articles throughout the bars. While keeping the heritage frontage, the inside is warm and welcoming.
